No project this size is the work of one individual – it takes a village of passionate people. I may be doing all the pushin’ of the pedals and stompin’ of the feet, but without the help of these companies and organizations, I wouldn’t even be able to start up the first peak. My sincerest thanks to the following:
I am an Brand Ambassador for Ultimate Direction. UD loves human powered adventures and Fastest Known Time attempts. As an ambassador, The Tour of the Highest Hundred is exactly the kind of project they love to see their gear being called upon for. I will be using an Ultimate Direction Fastpack, Adventure Vest, as well as their soon to be released FK Tarp and FK Bivy.
La Sportiva is synonymous with extreme mountain running, as well as cutting edge rock + alpine climbing. I’m extremely excited that they’ve provided me with the best shoes for this most audacious mountain course.
Surly Bikes invents an incredible array of versatile, durable, bikepacking/bikecamping steel workhorse super machines, and I am more than stoked to say I’ll be riding one of their steeds towards my path to glory.
I am a 2017 recipient of the Colorado Mountain Club‘s Pikes Peak Group Adventure Grant! I am extremely honored, grateful, and humbled to have been chosen for this grant, and have the Tour of the Highest Hundred be significant enough of a project for the CMC to show such interest.
I will be sleeping soundly in a Sierra Designs 35 degree sleeping bag, which comes in well under one kilo. The unique zipperless design will work well with my extremely ultralight bivy system.
